(Week 56) IN THE BAG


SUMMARY

Quick update! We added more bags to the store menu and changed the default capacity for the player to 5 instead of 10. Now you have increments available for keeping treasure in 5, 6, 8, 12, and 20. This actually pairs well with the zone-based treasure drops and gives the game a much better progressive rhythm. The prices also match what one expects to find in total and works well.


Our next goal is to do the same with shoe speed, shovel rate, and then work to improve the detector mechanics to go along with the new zone-based system. Give it a try and see how it feels! Let us know how you like the game so far and drop us a note!


On a minor note, we also changed "Carbon" to "Charcoal" since that's what it really is. While it's not a big deal, we figured it's not a bad minor improvement to add. We'll try to see if we can keep a small, daily, iterative rhythm to our game dev as we move forward.
