MAKIN' THE CART HAPPEN!

We'll start with a simple update. In this week's build you'll notice the name of your dector model at the end of the Sweep Bar. It doubles as an indicator for your progress as the meter overlays on top of it to remind you of the one you're using. This should make it easier to know which model you're equipped with as you play.

In future updates, we might play with pushing the UI a bit more to make detector switching more dramatic. We'll see how it goes. With so much to do and so little time, we kept it simple.

Which leads to the next big annoucement, we're introducing the Cart! We're excited to get around to this feature. It will in theory be the most expensive item in the game but well worth it.

The basic functionality of it is in as far as colliders and detectors. But honestly, it's going to be a bit of a drag to get this fully working. Future updates on this will be monotonous in the coming weeks. But we can't wait to get it working, running, and roll it out for you to try!

WHAT'S IN STORE

One major reason we decided to go ahead with this had to do with pricing. You'll notice as you play the game, the most expensive item is about half of what it used to be. That's because we added the Golf Cart as a purchasable item.

By doing so, we balance the game to make it affordable for you to buy upgrades as you progress and give you the final item as soon as possible. But this also opens the door for us to make the carts available for you to purchase and play. Given how close to the core this mechanic may be, it's probably better late than never.

KRAZY IDEA

On an insane side note, it would be cool if the game allowed a special "Tron Kart" mode, something like a Kart racing game but in a club with music, lasers, and storm trooper helmets. While it's a bit offbeat from what our game is about, who knows what the future holds?

We might be able to introduce this idea later as a prototype fun mode in the game but if it proves popular enough, we can spin this off into it's own project. What do you think? For now, we have more than our hands full with our treasure game. :)

DRAG N' DROP WORKING!

As for Task Tracker Pro's Beta, drag and drop to sort is finally working and published! It's fun to use and available for you to try in our public link below. It's a feature that has had so much unexpected benefits, I'm sure you'll agree once you give it a test drive.

MAC OS LEGACY

Hard to believe it's been three years since we published Rise of the Star Kingdom on Mac OS. This was the project that led to the creation of Task Tracker Pro and later inspired more ideas leading up to Can You Dig It. But a few weeks back we hit a crossroads and decided to move on with our treasure game.

The bad news is our space strategy game will be placed on low priority, even though it's so close to completion with version GT. But the good news is we're not giving up nor letting go. Instead, it has become a weekend project and when a chance occurs for us to move forward with it, we do so in inches than miles. Most of the feedback has been positive but the issues plaguing the game in terms of instructions with UI is being tackled now and will be patched in the next update.

We're 90% of the way there, you'll be able to mouse over any UI in the menu and get an explanation of what is going on, so most of the game rules are available to you at any time. We'll keep you updated as it moves forward. Stay tuned.

That's it for this week! Hope you try out the game and check out our list on Task Tracker Pro! To be continued....
